If you are like me and LOVE to cut stuff up can you think of a better costume than Edward Scissorhands? Over at Oriental Trading Company they have what they call a Miss Scissorhands costume and I just had to give it a test drive before Halloween. I had never worn a wig so I got a bit of help putting it on and styling it. I had a lot of fun in this costume and I am looking forward to wearing it for Halloween. Since it’s stretch fabric and all one piece it was easy to get into. I slipped it on before we put the wig on. The scissor gloves are fun to play with. The leggings I had already cut up-imagine that? š What are you working on for your Halloween costume?

So many recycled gift bag and packaging ideas!
I save my cereal box cardboard to practice art techniques or for the base of a collage but this idea for cutting a hole in it to form a handle is fabulous. This recycled food box gift tote idea came from the huge collection of recycled gift packaging ideas featured at the blog Upcycle My Stuff.

I really haven’t made up my mind yet. Maybe The Queen of Hearts from Through the Looking Glass.
