DIY Babylegs

September 26, 2008 |

For the folks out there with kids, there’s these great tight-like contraptions called Baby Legs that you can slap on your kidlet when it gets a bit colder without having to put tights on a wee one. Brilliant idea, and apparently they sell like hot cakes.

And they’re also pretty expensive, when you consider what they actually are, which is just some jersey fabric stitched into a tube.

One of my favorite bloggers, Homemade By Jill, has taken on the task of making some herself, thanks to a Flickr tutorial she found, and now has several pairs ready for gifting. They apparently take only 10 minutes each once you get going, and is the perfect sock-raiding craft. Now you don’t have to throw out your socks when they get tiny holes in the toes or heels!

Sounds to me like I’ve got a new holiday project to get started on!
