Why not recycle those old bicycle inner tubes into a crocheted rug

December 4, by Stefanie Girard. 1 Comment

My grandfather cut his old bicycle inner tubes into rubber bands so I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that clever crocheters have decide to recycle them as well. Pop on over to the link Kathryn sent in to the blog Crochet Concupiscence to read all about crocheting with bike tubes and see a whole bunch of cool crochet projects for cyclists.

Modern patterned recycled cardboard and TP tube sculptures

I have posted other recycled cardboard sculpture crafts but today’s really caught my eye for two reasons. The first is the fun way simple patterns created on the surfaces really made this look modern and fun. The second was using a tp tube as the base. The combo of the ovals and the tp tube just went together nicely. Pop on over to the blog Artful Parent to see more about how to make painted patterned recycled cardboard and TP tube sculptures.
