Creative upcycle and downcycle ideas
Over at the Storque they posted a whole house full of great ideas for reusing found things. This was my absolute favorite, a picture used as a table. It sounds simple but, wow! I really thought it looked unusual and great. See knobs, skies, floor tile and more repurposed in fabulous ways!
I love vintage matchbooks and their graphics, they are such a cool little bit of history. Even the concept of a matchbook is dated as there isn’t smoking in public places. So repurposing the packaging format to hold all sorts of tiny things is such a great idea. I’ve often thought of re-using old floor tiles or wall tiles in this way (if they come off intact, and are nice enough to warrant the work), however I’ve never ever thought, seen or heard of using a painting!
