Now is the time we turn toward our goals for the new year. My interests have grown beyond crafting toward art and that include lots of paper collage. I have experimented with a lot of surfaces so when I spotted this great collage on a brown paper shopping bag I thought I could look through my stash and give it a try. Pop on over to Laura Lein-Svencner’s blog to see more about making art on brown paper bags. If all you have is a stash of paper and images but would like to try making some art on brown paper bags- these look cool. Imagine having a stash of these all art covered on hand for all your gift giving throughout the year!

DIY Bar Goals: This Wine Bottle Cutter Kit Is About to Change My Crafting Life
I have a confession: this bottle cutter kit has been sitting in my Amazon cart for days. I keep coming back to it, imagining all the wine bottles I could be turning into classy glasses, candle holders, or even a whole DIY lantern lineup for my patio.
If you’re even a little bit crafty (or maybe just drink a lot of wine—no judgment here), this kit looks like a total game-changer. It’s got everything: a stable base, adjustable rollers, gloves, a glass paper smoother—basically all the stuff you’d forget you needed until halfway through your first project.
What I love is how this makes upcycling feel super doable. Instead of tossing those beautiful gin or whiskey bottles, I could be turning them into one-of-a-kind gifts or home decor pieces. And let’s be honest—who doesn’t want to say, “Oh this old thing? I made it.”
Now I just need to stop imagining and start cutting. Might be the perfect weekend project… if I click ‘Buy Now’ before Friday.
