Sister Diane over at CraftyPod goes to town cutting up old playing cards and turning them into some awesome embellishments. She also then shows how they can be used to make a tiny card-size journal or notebook using a layering effect. For those of us not playing with a full deck this is the recycling project perfect for us!

Easy way to make a plaster sculpture prefect for all ages
I love organic shape sculptures. Like the bean in Chicago. I sculpt little tiny things out of porcelain right now but I love this idea for working with plaster and a balloon. Pop on over to the blog Artful Parent to read the full tutorial on how to make plaster balloon sculptures. A perfect project for all ages.
This is a good inspiration for my next art project. may be i can even do this with my nephews…
I have been playing with collage–also have quite a stash of playing cards. Your designs are exceptional.
