As summer turns to fall, I see more and more broken down grills waiting for the garbage man to pick them up each week. People are getting ready for new grills for a new season of grilling, and all I can think is “those poor grills are being sent to an early grave!”
So I was super excited to come across this post from Junk Mail Gems, detailing the extremely easy way to take these old grills and turn them into planters! If you’re lucky enough to find a grill with wheels on it, you can bring it inside when the weather gets chilly and move it around the house, chasing the winter sun to keep your plants and flowers growing even in the coldest of months!
love the planter idea – I made a planting bench/storage unit out of a large BBQ w/side smoker and wheels – painted it and stenciled it – makes potting easy now and I can move it around
