OK you may think all my recycled crafts require a drink first, but no. This cute reindeer is a snap to make with a great tutorial that can be found over at Chica and Jo.
There’s something wonderfully cheeky about turning a leftover wine cork into a Christmas reindeer. Maybe it’s because by December, most of us have a small collection of corks rolling around in the kitchen drawer… evidence of long dinners, festive catch-ups, and those “just one glass” evenings that somehow turn into two. Instead of tossing them, why not turn them into the cutest handmade ornaments you’ll hang on your tree this year?
These little cork reindeer have that perfect mix of rustic charm and playful whimsy. They’re easy enough to make while you’re sitting at the table with a cup of tea (or, let’s be honest, another glass of something nice), and they’re a brilliant way to use what you already have on hand. A bit of twine here, a dab of glue there, and suddenly you’ve got a herd of tiny reindeer ready to prance across your tree branches.
They’re also a lovely craft to do with kids or grandkids — quick, forgiving, and guaranteed to spark giggles. And because each cork has its own shape and quirks, every reindeer turns out with a different personality. Exactly how Christmas crafting should be.

Thank you so much, Stefanie
I’m afraid it is a little late for this year, but I know what my family is getting next year.
I have 8 sisters and 5 brothers so I need something not too complicated and not too expensive. I already collect wine corks, so I am on my way.
xoxo
Great crafty idea! I used a whole bunch of corks on a very large cork board, but I still have a ton leftover. Now I have an idea of what to do with them!
