Hello all my wonderful Craft Gossip Recycling readers! Jean W. sent in an email asking if I had any ideas on what to make with the little balls from deodorant containers. Her husband has been saving them and doesn’t know what to make with them so I am putting the call out to you all to see if you have any ideas? How to make matchbook style packaging for all sorts of tiny things
I love vintage matchbooks and their graphics, they are such a cool little bit of history. Even the concept of a matchbook is dated as there isn’t smoking in public places. So repurposing the packaging format to hold all sorts of tiny things is such a great idea. Pop on over to the blog Reading My Tea Leaves to see all sorts of things you can package in a matchbook and how to make them.
I would cover them with glue and tissue paper to make beads for a necklace. I’d like to give that a try!

I think she could substitute the deodorant balls for any craft using ping pong balls. Pinterest has a boat load of them!

Cover with yarn to make balls for cats. I have some Icy Hot roll on balls for that purpose. You can sell them at Etsy or another craft selling place.
You could put them inside monkey fists instead of using steel ball bearings.
