It’s Memorial Day here in the U.S. and I sewed these tote bags made from uniforms of soldiers that were killed. They are for the soldier’s moms.

What a thoughtful way to help those mothers feel closer to their fallen sons or daughters. I imagine it could be very comforting. Too often, the uniforms are thrown away or stored away although the memories stay raw and painful. This way, the bags can help them ease through the initial shock and feel a connection with their beloved child.
