Making Plarn!

September 3, 2008 by robyn charles

… out of nothing at all. Making Plarn! (sorry)

For those of you who don’t have reusable grocery bags, or for those times that you forget them (we do this ALL THE TIME), Kate Austin has a great tutorial for making Plarn … yarn made out of plastic bags!

Having tried the technique myself, I can tell you it’s super easy, and you can make all sorts of great things with the plarn.

(that’s just an image of the video … I couldn’t figure out how to get it posted here! Head to Kate’s blog for the video!

I have heard about making supermarket bags out of the old plastic ones, but never saw how to do it. Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to give it a whirl.

Oh, and thanks for putting that song in my head “for the rest of the day”, by your pun “making plarn out of nothing at all” :).
