For those living in older houses, you know that one of the first things to get updated in a room, unfortunately, are the heating grates. As the heating system is updated, it becomes almost necessary to update the outflow system as well.
But now you don’t have to throw out those grates, thanks to this great link from Craft! Simly paint them a fun color and screw them, upside down, to your wall, for a totally unique mail catcher! Even if you don’t live in an older house, picking a grate up at a salvage yard or antique store can add a whimsical and unique touch to your home!
I live in a building that still utilizes these old-school grates for their original purposes (which I LOVE), but it is now obvious that I must hunt for some grates that need new homes! Love this idea!
