I made these tiny porcelain dolls by making a mold of a ceramic figurine. Before I fired them I drilled a hole above the tiny hands. I experimented in both directions. After they were fired I glued them to some recycled tiles I score out on a walk in the neighborhood. (Quite frankly one of the best sources of recycled things especially the walk the night before trash day. (Pro Tip) then I gathered up graphics from the internet with using the word “lawn signs” and printed them out in a variety of tiny sizes. Next I cut them out and glued them on foam core. This made it super easy to poke a tooth pick into the foam middle. A few of the tooth picks I trimmed down. Want to make a mini recycled doll protest girl? Grab your favorite doll, stick and sign and you too can have a mini protest girl my fellow Makers!
