I would have to say garlands are the trend for this year (and maybe last year too) and I have made several. They are a great way to decorate a big space very easily and they lend themselves to words like Happy Birthday and other holiday sentiments. Over at the blog Salute to Cute there is a tutorial on how to make this adorable kitty garland out of recycled magazines. I could see making this in all black for Halloween!
