How to make a giant sewing needle

November 1, by Stefanie Girard. 1 Comment

I was “Devilish Raggedy Ann” for Halloween. Since Raggedy Ann is a rag doll that was originally hand made I felt that my costume needed a big sewing needle.

It was easy to make!

I used a closet pole that was wood for this project.

I rounded one end and made the other pointy.

Then I drilled holes in the rounded end to make the eye of the needle.

Then sanded the whole thing smooth.

I then painted it with Testors silver spray paint.

For the thread I used some big red yarn to keep with the scale of the needle.
