These pillow boxes are made using a very unexpected recycled thing as a tool in the pattern making. Can you guess what it is? I had no idea until I went over to the blog PinPoint for the step by step tutorial on how to make a square pillow box. I think I’m going to make a stash of these so I have them on hand for the holidays.
I love vintage matchbooks and their graphics, they are such a cool little bit of history. Even the concept of a matchbook is dated as there isn’t smoking in public places. So repurposing the packaging format to hold all sorts of tiny things is such a great idea.
