AnthroDesk is great for artists, crafters, and all sorts of makers

October 7, 2019 by Stefanie Girard

Please meet my new favorite crafting accessory-The adjustable standing desk by AnthroDesk available on their US web site, As an artist and crafter working with paint, clay, jewelry making, planner pages and so much more being able to sit and stand while working is a game changer.

If you are looking to improve your making space by being able to stand while creating this could really come in handy. It changes any standard desk or table surface into an adjustable counter height. It has one handle that lets you raise or lower it to any height that works for you and what you are making.

Looking for jewelry-making supplies? Check out our favorite supplier BeeBeeCraft

I can easily raise the table top easel to paint standing up or lower it to do fine detail while sitting and then raise it back up do be able to paint standing up and step back and forth while working.

The two levels of this AnthroDesk standing desk converter also available on Amazon was great for making small cuts on the lower level while working on my planner pages and displaying websites on my laptop on the upper level.

If you like working on things at eye level you can raise the adjustable surface to where your project is at eye level when sitting and do tiny work as in the case here when I was doing some jewelry making and soldering.

I really liked the AnthroDesk (available in Canada as well) for working on my ceramic bowls as it makes it easy to see at eye level while centering the pedestal part on the top part. I can sit or stand at this adjustable desk depending on what part of the bowl I am working on.

I should also say as someone who spends a lot of time writing and reading on my computer spending some of that time standing (and maybe doing a few yoga poses) while working will really help get in a bit of mobility and stretching that can only add to a healthy lifestyle.

If you are looking to get a gift for an artist or crafter that might like to have the option of sitting or standing while they spend time doing what they love I recommend this ErgoSpring Standing Desk Converter.

IWAS Upcycled Drinking Glasses

These upcycled drinking glasses are such a fun and meaningful addition to my kitchen! I originally bought them because I’m trying to make more eco-conscious choices, but they’ve turned out to be so much more than just “sustainable.” They’re genuinely beautiful—each one is slightly different, which just adds to their charm. You can really tell they’ve been made from repurposed bottles (in the best way), and that story makes them a great conversation piece when guests are over.

They’re surprisingly sturdy too—not flimsy or thin like I half-expected. I’ve been using them daily for everything from iced coffee to juice, and they wash up really well without clouding or scratching.

Honestly, it feels good to drink from something that’s not only stylish but also has a positive impact. If you’re looking for a gift with meaning or just want to treat yourself while treading a little lighter on the planet, these are a win. They also have a frosted version too.
