Reader ideas request!

November 16, 2015 by Stefanie Girard

image1 Hello all my wonderful Craft Gossip Recycling readers! Jean W. sent in an email asking if I had any ideas on what to make with the little balls from deodorant containers. Her husband has been saving them and doesn’t know what to make with them so I am putting the call out to you all to see if you have any ideas? Leave a comment or a link if you have seen something fun you could make with these.

I would cover them with glue and tissue paper to make beads for a necklace. I’d like to give that a try!

This is a fun ping pong ball lampshade: http://www.poppytalk.com/2012/04/weekend-project-ping-pong-ball-pendant.html?spref=tw

I think she could substitute the deodorant balls for any craft using ping pong balls. Pinterest has a boat load of them!

Cover with yarn to make balls for cats. I have some Icy Hot roll on balls for that purpose. You can sell them at Etsy or another craft selling place.

You could put them inside monkey fists instead of using steel ball bearings.
