Laura Beamer‘s bottle cap jewelry featured in yesterday’s post, Bottle Cap Beauties, briefly mentioned her stunning vinyl record work, but I think they deserve a post of their very own. Shown are her popular and stunning vinyl rings, priced at $56.
Laura says she gives “replay” to 45 rpm records by creating jewelry that is both fun and sophisticated through design. She writes: “I use a large machinist tool to punch pieces from colorful and black records to use as the centerpiece. I then set the vinyl into sterling silver using a rivet and brass washer. The rivet is a strong part of the design element. Shades of colors may change as many of these records are difficult to find! If you have any requests, color requests that is, please don’t hesitate to email me. I just might have it!!”
Her work is found in dozens of galleries and jewelry stores in the United States and Canada.

I did not make these gorgeous things, so I don’t know Laura’s exact methods, but she does give you a behind-the-scenes mini tutorial on how she makes her bottle cap jewelry: http://www.laurabeamer.com/bottle_caps/
