From time to time along with recycled craft projects I want to share with you info about companies that are making a difference for the betterment of the planet. Today I want to share with you a bit about Strathmore papers. I had the pleasure of hearing about them from artist Timothy Robert Smith at last week’s Glendale Art Association meeting. Some of their papers are made with Windpower Renewable Energy, out of recycled materials and Tree-Friendly Fibers. How cool is that!? Pop on over to their site for lots of ideas and tutorials. Let me say the samples of paper feel so nice and I can’t wait to experiment with them with the other goodies we got from General Pencil Company, Dynasty brushes, and Sakura.

Altoid tins make great bases for mini shrines and alters
I seem to have an endless supply of tiny little things. I mostly pop them on a shelf and then occasionally clean the shelf off and everything ends up in a box. So this idea for making mini shrines or alters with recycled Altoid tins seems like a great use for all the tiny things I seem to collect. Pop on over to the blog Pixie Hill to read more about these recycled Altoid tin shrines and alters.
