Yesterday I pointed you to a [tag]Craftster[/tag] tutorial on making [tag]Tyvek[/tag]-like fabric from used plastic shopping bags. Craftster once again makes the news today with another shopping bag-related craft in this month’s [tag]craft challenge[/tag]: [tag]Reusable Shopping Bag[/tag] Challenge. Leah, the site administrator, writes: “Your challenge is to create a kick-ass reusable grocery bag and stencil it with an eco-friendly statement or decorate it some how with an environmentally-friendly theme.â€
Official Rules:
– Post your craft during the period of August 1 – August 5 2007. No sooner. No later. On August 1 there will be a special folder created for entries.
– Voting will happen from August 6 – August 12 2007.
– Each participant can enter ONE project although there can be multiple parts to you project.
The winner will get his or her bag included in the Featured Projects section and the Craftster Blog, a generous supply of [tag]Simply Spray[/tag] paint and bragging rights.
For an added challenge (not Craftster-mandated, by the way), be an over-achiever and make your reusable bag entirely from recycled fabric and materials.
