Oil cloth is a versatile and pretty fabric great for protecting all sorts of things. I never thought of trying to make it myself but you can! Pop on over to Design Sponge where they have a tutorial on how to make recycled book page oil cloth. I bet this tutorial would work great with all sorts of fabric and paper. The envelope tutorial would be great for lots of things as well.
