Steven James, owner of macaroni and glitter, created a charming Connect Four Photo Frame and Calendar for Craftster’s monthly challenge of transforming an old board game into something new. (Alas, this wasn’t the winning entry, but it is in my book!) He writes:
“When my dog turned the checkers of a Connect Four game into several little chew toys, instead of throwing the game out I decided to modify the frame for use as a two-sided desk accessory – using one side as a mini gallery of photos and the other as a calendar. It’s a relatively easy project to complete and an excellent solution when dealing with the lack of wall space. Yup, those are friends, family, former lovers and more all encased under resin FOREVER.”
Oh, and the winning challenge entry is certainly worth a look: an entire dress crocheted with black yarn and UNO cards.
