Lindsey sent in a link to a project over at the spankin’ new blog Recyclers Anonymous but this one just called to me to share. It is a trash can made out of rings of recycled magazine pages and a plastic lid. I bet there are going to be lots more great recycled crafts to come!

Neat, I’m making one right now actually. It’s really simple, Amanda. Basically it’s just tightly coiled folded strips of magazine pages. As for the bottom, I used strips of magazines and rolled them together into a nice big circle. Then, I glued various sized rings onto it. I’d recommend using a hot glue gun, but if you haven’t got one a ton of Elmer’s will do the trick. Also, in the picture the rings are slightly deformed from the weight of one on top of the other. To eliminate this problem I just used thicker paper or more layers folded to create a stronger ring.
