This Book Was a Tree: Ideas, Adventures, and Inspiration for Rediscovering the Natural World by Marcie Chambers Cuff is a really interesting book that encourages creativity outdoors. It combines science and nature with crafts and fun. There are all sorts of practical and educational projects that teach as well as entertain. My personal favorite is how to make a magnifying glass out of a recycled plastic soda bottle and water. The beauty of it all is everything you need is right outside the door, which this book encourages you to do-go outside!
