If you are like me and LOVE to cut stuff up can you think of a better costume than Edward Scissorhands? Over at Oriental Trading Company they have what they call a Miss Scissorhands costume and I just had to give it a test drive before Halloween. I had never worn a wig so I got a bit of help putting it on and styling it. I had a lot of fun in this costume and I am looking forward to wearing it for Halloween. Since it’s stretch fabric and all one piece it was easy to get into. I slipped it on before we put the wig on. The scissor gloves are fun to play with. The leggings I had already cut up-imagine that? 🙂 What are you working on for your Halloween costume?

How to make recycled matchbox mini shrines
I am mad for miniatures…I think I always have been but now I make them all the time out of just about every material I work in. The tiny colorful shrines look like the perfect project to start making now so I have a collection by Day of the Dead. Pop on over the the Crafty Chica blog for the sparkly tutorial on how to make recycled matchbox shrines.

I really haven’t made up my mind yet. Maybe The Queen of Hearts from Through the Looking Glass.
