Rice Bags To Nice Bags

June 20, 2007 |

I have been saving these rice bags for a while and here are a few projects to inspire you to start buying your rice in bulk Hessian bags rather than plastic bag family sized servings.

Turn your rice bag into a purse with this free tutorial from Everythingatonce

Or how about some kitchen artwork ? with this tutorial your walls will be a constant reminder of that

rice and curry dish you made the other night.

Does anyone know of a source for recycled yarmulkahs? I need about 100-200 of them for a bar mitzvah that we are trying to make environmentally friendly (there are too many for me to make myself, but perhaps a craft coop might be interested???). Yarmulkahs out of rice bags would be especially cool.
