August 12, 2007 |

recraft_logo.gifThis weekend isn’t yet over, but it’s not too early to start planning for the next, which should be a good one for anyone in the Boston area: It’s the first-ever Recraft Fair, which features an afternoon of recycled craft vendors, live music and free hands-on craftivities (read: decorate reusable grocery bags and enjoy “freestyle” recycled crafting).

Recraft Fair
Saturday, August 18 (rain date August 19)
3 to 7 p.m.
Union Square Central Plaza
Somerville, Massachusetts
(intersection of Washington, Prospect and Somerville Ave.)

The fair is sponsored by Magpie, a store that carries the work of 300 local and national indie artists, and Somerville Arts Council. Can’t make it to the fair? Be sure to check out the links to the vendors on the fair’s website.
