Knitting Needle Jewelry

August 12, 2008 |

Nancy of Sassafras Creations combines two of her loves — knitting and recycling — to make beautiful jewelry, like this striking pendant. First, she drills into and cuts up the needles by hand, tiny piece by tiny piece, using a jeweler’s saw. They are then either tumbled or hand-filed to smooth the rough edges. Finally, the pieces are combined with sterling silver findings into a finished piece of jewelry. Check out all of her creations at her Etsy shop.
