To dress up a pair of shoes with washi tape you can may die cut stickers.
One of the best parts about washi tape is that it isn’t permanent. I like these shoes plain but I thought I’d dress them up temporarily with some leopard wings and a stripe. The wings are easy to make.
Place several strips of washi tape next to each other on a piece of wax paper.
I used a Sizzix wing die cut to cut my wings (making sure I flipped the washi tape side over for the second cut so I got my wings going in both directions!)
This technique for applying the wings goes back to my signage days. Peal the backing off the wings a little bit and stick down to the side of the shoe. This way the 3 strips of tape stay where they need to be. Then continue pealing and sticking down the tape.
To make the tile bracelet I cut up a bamboo placemat and applied leopard and polka dot washi tape to the tiles.
I then strung them together with elastic cord.
