20-ways-to-draw-books Today’s giveaway includes 2 “bulking dummies” these are blank books that publisher’s use to choose what a book will look and feel like, the size and paper texture. They are perfect to try drawing the 900 drawings featured in each of the 2 books that are also included in this giveaway. They are copies of 20 Ways to Draw a Butterfly and 20 Ways to Draw a Tulip.     I’ve recently realized the character I’ve consistently doodled for over 20 years bears a strong resemblance to Teddy Roosevelt.

    I draw a shape (heart or square or circle), and then fill it in with lots of irregular odd shapes. Sometimes I color them in.

    Spirals & curves are my favorite things to doodle. Unless I’m in a funk or stuck for ideas. Then I doodle interlocking squares & rectangles.

    My favorite thing to doodle would be Zentangles. I have really enjoyed making complex doodles that interweave across the page. I also love optical illusions!

    I don’t really doodle very well but I love thumbprint art!!! I teach a pre-k class and have recently been learning the basics and would love to have these books to use in my class and for ME!!!

    My favorite thing to draw is what I call Girly – Girls. They have big a big head, big hair, and big eye (just one eye, the other is covered by hair). They also have a small neck, small nose, and small lips. I finish them by painting them with watercolors. :)

    I’ve doodled zentangle type doodles since I was a kid – many yrs ago – I just found out there’s a name for it. And now that I’ve learned more of zentangling, I love it!

    I love to do simple house for the grandchildren then add a tre, cat and flowers.Even managed a matchstickman that I turned in action man with clothes.Grandson enjoy trying my idea and did one himself.

    oh my … Made a short list this spring ..what i want to accomplish this summer and one of the things on that list was teaching my self to draw…..so while re-sale shopping I have been on the search for books that teach drawing and haven’t been able to find anything… then .. I come here and you are offering these very things i am search for as a gift …. doodles ?? shapes that expand and repeat and fill the space ..or letters or numbers or thoughts ..

    I doodle henna designs which includes flowers, birds, paisleys, and a bunch of swirls, lines and curves. Once I learned the basics and how to arrange them together, I was able to let my own doodles take form.

    Doodling = faculty meeting survival! I doodle hearts, flowers, and lots of curling cute stuff.

    I’m excited about this giveaway because I’ve been teaching myself to draw in order to illustrate a book I’m writing for my nephew.

    I never thought I could draw AT ALL, so it’s been fun to drive in and find that I can draw… sort of…..

    I am a beginner at drawing and painting, so right now I am learning as much as I can on how to draw and paint lots of different things. :)
    Lately, I’ve been learning to just relax and doodle some made up silly flowers, or just silly boarder designs. :)
    I am having so much fun researching, borrowing, and creating right now, that I’ve decided I’ll just relax and let my own style come out on its own, naturally as I continue to learn. :)
