Feelin’ Groovy?

September 4, 2007 |

vinyl_pin.jpgGroovy Vinyl’s Etsy store is a mix of funky, abstract-inspired accessories recycled from — you guessed it — vintage vinyl albums. Among Groovy crafter Terri’s line of jewelry is this clean-line, bejeweled lapel pin ($9).

A member of Etsy’s Trashion team, she got started in vinyl upcycling when her “poor old dusty record collection was languishing unplayed on the shelf,” she writes in her profile. “What was I going to do with them? I had plenty of beads and findings…one Jim Croce album later, voila! Groovy Vinyl was born.”

She has a second Etsy store at http://www.impybat.etsy.com, as well as a blog at http://impybat.blogspot.com.
