I love getting e-mails from readers, showing off all the great crafting they do with recycled materials. So when Amber e-mailed me about her shop Mani Designs Jewelry, I was super tickled.

Featuring a variety of jewelry types, she pointed me in the direction of pieces like that above, which feature recycled and vintage tin salvaged from the five years she lived in India. Because the country has gone “mad for plastic”, she’s featuring the tin as settings in her jewelry instead of precious or semi-precious stones … a brilliant way to both recycle and reuse, and also to showcase the yesteryear.

Head on over to her shop and check out all the gorgeous jewelry she’s got featured, and I dare you to not fall in love with the vintage tin that she’s featured!
