If you aren’t in need of a cute toy I bet this would make a great draft dodger (you know that thing you put along the bottom edge of a door to seal it a bit better)

I don’t know about you but I keep my fabric scraps. They seem to coming in handy for project just like this cute little three tiered flower pin from the blog Argot. She uses it to dress up a cute apron that has a pocket made from one of the same fabrics.

Fabric Mod Podge makes transforming a t-shirt easy peasy

I didn’t know about the fact that there was Fabric Mod Podge but thanks to the super fun blog Mod Podge Rocks I do now and so do you. In this post there are great directions for transforming a t-shirt. It recommends using a template and if you are looking for a free raven template because you want to recycle an old t-shirt for this Halloween season you can find one here.

Free Good/Bad Angel Bird Graphics used to recycle a plain white t-shirt

Over at this post at Craftside there is a tutorial on how to make iron-ons using this free graphic of good angel and bad angel birds, you know like the ones that sit on your shoulder and help you make decisions. The project converts an old big white shirt into a tank simply by cutting the sleeves off and re sewing the sides smaller. NoshNight events bring West Michigan’s creative community together. The events focus on art and design in the broadest sense, and showcase the area’s finest architects, designers, and artists. The first NoshNight was a smashing success enjoyed by over 300 creative professionals.

As the second installment of the NoshNight series, UICA is hosting Recycled Runway and Street Party. Recycled Runway will feature innovative clothing made from recycled and repurposed materials. Come and see the area’s best and brightest fashion designers’ wearable art in a one of a kind fashion show. Indulge in amazing locally grown food by Bar Divani, Tommy Fitzgerald, 616, Bistro Bella Vita and The Green Well. And enjoy great music and a cash bar while models strut
their stuff on the runway.

Creative Challenge: 20 days, 20 items
Join the fun by creating your own “trashion.” Use you own materials or stop by UICA for a grab bag of 20 items to create your own recycled headgear, footgear, full ensemble or whatever you decide!

K B Vanhorn who writes the blog, A Patchwork World, totally scored this vintage bed sheet she had been hunting for and she worked her magic and turned it into the cutest sundress for her daughter and a coordinating skirt for herself that you can see here. I love when a kid print fabric is used to make adult cloths. It really can put a smile on your face. And if you need something that cute and made from fun fabric check out her store.

Oh so cute! Over at Life of Lindsey the mom-to-be is whipping up super cute onesies and baby t-shirts by repurposing adult size vintage t-shirts. This idea is such a great way to reuse a cherished adult shirt that may have seen better days but still has some good parts left to it.
